产品说明：VD11 is a unique, naturally derived, linear peptide from amphibian spinal cords with the sequence VDELWPPWLPC that has been shown to promote structural and functional recovery after spinal cord injury (SCI) in rats. VD-11 increases NGF and BDNF mRNA and protein secretion in BV2 microglia (dose-dependently, most strongly at 100 nM). It enhances PC12 cell viability, axon extension and survival under oxygen-glucose deprivation/reperfusion (OGD/R) injury. In rats with complete spinal cord transection, intravertebral VD-11 raised BBB locomotor scores to ~15.15 ± 0.31 by day 28 (vs ~10.96 for vehicle, ~13.79 for methylprednisolone), reduced lesion cavity and scar size, preserved more neurons, and reduced mortality/weight loss compared to methylprednisolone. Researchers have developed PCV hydrogels, which incorporate VD11, to serve as bioactive scaffolds for delivering the peptide and stem cells to treat central nervous system (CNS) injuries.
